Expressing that Turkish tourism has faced and grown with crises for 30 years, Karaer said: ”We have been in tourism for 25 years. Alanya is our first sight. During this time, Alanya has developed a lot. Alanya is a very important region for Antalya and Turkey. We brought 180 thousand tourists from the Netherlands to the Antalya region in 1993-94. With Corendon Airlines, this number reached 1.2 million. Tourism in Turkey has faced effects such as the problems experienced in the world and in Europe, terrorism and political crises. Tourism grew with the crises. The heart of Turkish tourism beats in the bowl of Antalya. No company can exist that is not in the Antalya bowl. Antalya tourism is as important for Turkey as it is for World and European tourism. Explaining that they are number 1 in the Dutch and Belgian markets, adding the Danish market to this, Karaer continued as follows: “Today we are flying under three licenses and three different flags. Thus, we expanded our service area for Turkish tourism. We also operate hotels in Spain and the Netherlands, as well as in various countries. Our contribution to Turkish tourism continues by flying in a wide area with our flights to Scandinavian countries, Kazakhstan, Iran, Russia and Israel and the Middle East.” Emphasizing that Corendon also made important contributions to the opening of Gazipaşa Airport, Yıldıray Karaer said, ”What can we do for Antalya, Alanya and Turkey? We are constantly worrying about it. The crises in the world are not over. After the pandemic that lasted for 2 years, the Russia-Ukraine crisis broke out. This had a negative impact on Turkish tourism. Turkish tourism is growing by 5-10% every year. The product and destination quality in Turkey is unmatched anywhere else in the world. We need to know the value of our tourism destinations,” he said.

Expressing that they are trying to support sports clubs and amateur sports with sponsorships within the scope of social responsibility projects and that they are trying to strengthen Corendon’s brand, Karaer concluded his words as follows. “We want to make the Corendon brand a world brand. Our love for tourism in Turkey is different, our love for Alanya is different. As the name sponsor of Alanyaspor, we take an important responsibility.
