“Our expectation is the start of Turkey’s transition to 5G”
Vodafone Turkey CEO Engin Aksoy made the following assessment regarding the results of the first half of the 2022-23 fiscal year: “We continue our investments with the confidence we have in the future of our country and our industry. The transition to 5G has been on the agenda of our industry recently. Today, 210 operators in 83 countries have launched 5G services. We hope that Turkey will join the list of countries embracing 5G as soon as possible. Our expectation is that the tender schedule and details will be clarified and announced as soon as possible, and Turkey’s transition to 5G will begin. Ensuring a sustainable and predictable investment environment in line with the realities of the market in the transition to 5G will enable the sector to get the maximum benefit from 5G and add value to the economy. As Vodafone, we will continue to work hard with our stakeholders to bring our country to the place it deserves in the digitalization league.”
