The season thirteen finale of the hit television series, Shark Tank, is coming up on Thursday, September 19th, and there’s no doubt that everyone’s eyes are going to be on Ade and Ayo. After all, they are the two most exciting newbies on the show, so you’d better believe there will be a lot to discuss!
Ade + Ayo
Ade + Ayo is a children’s clothing brand that uses African prints to make its clothing. The company’s founder, Temidayo Adedokun, started it in 2020 with her husband, Abisola. Their mission is to bring a unique African cultural product to the world.
Before becoming the founder of Ade and Ayo, Temidayo was a lawyer. She worked as an associate at Jones Hall, APLC Company in San Francisco. In 2020, she was fired for a pandemic. After the pandemic, she sought to find products that reflected her culture. However, it was very difficult to find clothing that matched her needs.
When she was pregnant, she decided to start making baby clothes. Her goal was to introduce her son to her African culture. Unfortunately, she couldn’t find any Nigerian baby clothes. So she decided to design her own line of clothes.
She also began searching for Nigerian nursery furniture. But the available products were too expensive. Hence, she searched for an online site that could offer inexpensive, yet quality African-themed products for babies.
Eventually, she discovered that many merchants were using Shark Tank images to sell their products. That was when she decided to join the show. It was then that she learned a lot.
She also gained experience, and learned from many of the sharks. Lori, for instance, didn’t like the way she was using her money. Nevertheless, she gave her 100 dollars a day.
Eventually, Ade and Ayo gained a huge following among the viewers. In fact, after their appearance on Shark Tank, sales increased eight times. They had about $160,000 in sales after eleven months.
The brand is still running well. They have a net worth of about $2.1 million.
You can purchase Ade and Ayo products on their website. Some of their products include toys and accessories that are made of organic cotton. Other products include stuffed animals, rattles, and baskets. For fans of African culture, the Ade and Ayo brand is a good choice.
If you want to see Ade and Ayo’s products in action, check out the episode of Shark Tank season 13 that airs on March 18, 2022. You’ll be able to witness the founder’s journey, and learn a lot about her company.
Bantam Bagels
One of the more exciting and interesting stories from Shark Tank season 13 comes from the team behind the stuffed bagels. A pair of Wall Street tycoons, Nick and Elyse Oleksak, have taken their love for the bagel to the next level with the Bantam Bagels brand of stuffed dough balls.
These mini stuffed bagels started out as a simple concept – a donut hole stuffed with cream cheese. The company’s founders tested recipes to come up with the perfect balance of ingredients. They started with a small, dedicated kitchen in their home, but were soon taking their wares on the road.
The company is still operating, although it’s not quite at the same levels it once was. In fact, sales have been in decline since it suffered a recall this spring. But the company’s founders are sticking with it, and are putting their creativity to good use in their day jobs.
For example, the company has a new website, and has launched a premium membership to provide users with detailed data on the number of matches they make, their average response times, and other pertinent information. This is in addition to their existing online and brick and mortar stores.
In addition to the stuffed dough ball ‘pizza’, the company also offers a handful of other foodie fare. In addition to the bagel a l’il big, Bantam Bagels is launching an all-natural quinoa and cranberry breakfast bowl.
As for the Shark Tank itself, this year will mark the return of the show with the first episode of season 2023, and will feature Shark Tank veterans such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Steve Harvey, and Kevin O’Leary. However, while the show’s popularity has not waned, it’s also not exactly a gold mine. Nonetheless, the team behind the stuffed bagels have received some accolades for their efforts, including being named as one of the “Top 3 Bagels” by the NY Daily News. Their product is now sold in grocery stores and restaurants throughout the United States. And the show itself has spawned some interesting business partnerships.
Noggin Boss and Curie
In Shark Tank season 13, the big sharks are back. They are joined by four new guests. The show will premiere on Friday, October 8 at 8 PM Eastern time. Episodes will be available on demand starting the day of the episode.
On the aforementioned Shark Tank, there are a slew of aspiring entrepreneurs vying for the big bucks. One of the more intriguing offerings is an all-in-one meal prep system. Another product on display is the Touch Up Cup, an innovative solution to the problem of paint storage. A third entrant is the one-of-a-kind Behave Bras, which features an all-in-one design that boasts the ability to fit all sizes, shapes, and colors.
A couple of entrepreneurial tycoons from Short Hill, New Jersey have also gotten into the portable beach hang business. There is also a flurry of attention on the topic of personalization, with companies like Nextdoor and Proper Good getting in on the action.
For a show that debuted in the USA in August 2009, the new season of Shark Tank has a hefty crop of seasoned sharks and a slew of new faces. Not to mention the original six sharks. It is estimated that the show has reinvigorated American entrepreneurship.
Among the contenders is Sarah Curie’s Curie, a company that has been on the business scene for a little over a year. The company has a waitlist of 15,000 customers and is making a tidy profit. To date, the aforementioned has closed more than $125,000 in sales, while the company has a few more tricks up its sleeve. Having made a few sharks sit on her jug of liquid gold, she has since teamed up with Barbara to get some new manufacturers on board.
While the show isn’t for everyone, Shark Tank has a lot to offer. With a plethora of unique products and the opportunity to learn from those that have a proven track record, the possibilities are endless. So, if you’re ready to make some money, head to the television screens for the next few months. And, if you can’t wait that long, you can always read about it on the Shark Tank Blog.
