Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 9

When you think of Chicago, you probably imagine that the city is full of glitz and glamour, and that’s definitely what you get in this episode of Chicago med. Then again, that’s not all the episode has to offer. It also features a case that has something to do with a rare blood type transplant, and it turns out that Stevie and Vanessa’s case isn’t that exciting.

Jessa gives Will eggnog a percentage whenever anyone orders a Vasik catheter

When a workaholic executive was admitted to the hospital, he presented his credit card as a collateral. It turned out to be a bad idea. He started to experience pelvic pain and had a mental breakdown.

Thankfully, the hospital board took notice and decided to stop using Vasik’s equipment. They also arrested a doctor and his wife for their illegal activity. Luckily, they aren’t in the same boat as the executives.

In the meantime, a couple brought their infant into the ED. The baby has a hereditary condition and needs immediate treatment. However, the couple isn’t sure if the treatment will work. Hopefully, they will be able to save the baby.

Aside from the obvious, the other notable medical event occurs when a woman passes a drug test. She says she was keeping a secret. But if she was able to do it, how did she do it?

Obviously, it wasn’t the first time that the patient had the right to say something. But she did it in a way that wasn’t quite as impressive as it sounds.

This particular event occurred because the couple’s daughter was born with a liver disease. Unfortunately, the liver is very small. Therefore, the infant will have to be intubated. There is a possibility that the child could die of the ammonia in her lungs.

Although the episode didn’t have a big cliffhanger, there are still some interesting developments in store for the ED staff. For one, a new compliance officer is hired. Another is that the hospital board has decided to fire Matt.

Finally, the biggest concern for fans is the return of Dr. Choi.

Marcel and Blake’s dilemma

The Chicago Med season 7 mid-season finale left viewers wondering about Marcel and Blake’s professional relationship. It also featured a kiss between the two characters. While they have flirted in the past, they have not addressed their romance. However, the showrunners have teased further exploration of their relationship in the second half of Season 7.

In the mid-season finale, Dr. Crockett Marcel was dating Dr. Blake’s daughter, Avery. They shared a kiss under the mistletoe.

In the following episode, Dr. Choi must treat a 19-year-old tough guy who’s in distress. But the case doesn’t go smoothly. He’ll have to make some difficult decisions to save the patient.

Meanwhile, Ben and Maggie become concerned about a student who was admitted for a medical procedure. And Uncle Joe, a relative, is caught in the crossfire of a fight.

There’s a lot to learn about the professional minefield that Marcel will face when he starts dating Blake. One thing that is certain is that the two women will have to deal with a lot of emotional setbacks.

For one thing, the couple will have to deal with their daughter’s repercussions. She’ll be upset about Marcel’s relationship with Blake.

Another complication involves the hospital. It will be in serious trouble after the episode. Not only will the hospital be in a bad spot, but so will the staff.

Chicago Med isn’t known to shy away from addressing the challenges of treating patients. This season has dealt with a number of intense cases. When the ED is flooded with patients, the staff have to do their best to save lives.

A rare blood type transplant

This week on Chicago Med, the big news is that the hospital has been ordered to stop using the Vasik equipment. The same Vasik machine that helped save Reuben’s life has been deemed unsuitable for use in the city.

As the story unfolds, we get a glimpse of the human behind the scenes. We see the man in charge of the department, whose name is Goodwin, working with a board member named Kalmick. Among other things, he has to explain to Halstead how the board plans to protect the interests of the hospital.

In addition to getting his act together, Goodwin has to deal with the fallout of Cooper’s pending arrest. And Jessa isn’t the only one to make the mistake of snitching on her husband.

Although it has been a while since we saw Matt Cooper, he did make a cameo on this week’s episode. As for Maggie, she’s been busy taking care of her baby’s feverish cough and vomiting. She’s also attempting to help Dr. Taylor massage out the results of his drug test.

It’s not a good look to have your medical staff, the ones who know you best, running around like headless chickens, so Goodwin decides to take some action. To help her out, she’s hired Kalmick to do the heavy lifting.

Ultimately, she gets the right answers. One of the better outcomes is a better HLA match, which will lead to a longer transplant success rate. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of the end for Cooper’s career. Regardless, the episode was a lot of fun. You can catch the rest of the season on Wednesdays at 8 PM EST/PST.

Typhus disease derived from a rat

If you haven’t been watching Chicago Med, it’s a medical drama set in the fictional Emergency Department of a hospital. The series revolves around Dr. Sharon Goodwin, Dr. Will Halstead, Dr. Charles Archer and their colleagues as they deal with patients and emergency cases. This year’s midseason premiere, “Vas-COM,” is based on the FBI’s Vas-Com scandal.

In a recent episode, Dr. Hammer recognized typhus before Archer. Bennet, a patient with a severe form of autism, was suffering from a type of typhus that’s transmitted from a rat. She had been bitten by a flea that had bitten a rat.

The virus that causes typhus is called Rickettsia typhi, and it’s transmitted from animals to humans. Murine typhus is diagnosed based on a rash, fever, and liver function tests. Symptoms include delirium, hallucinations, and increased endurance.

Previously, the Rockefeller Foundation had studied the transmission of typhus through insects. It’s a disease that is contagious and spreads easily through the air, but the vaccines are not very effective.

The outbreak of typhus in Spain caught the attention of the Foundation, which sent a young researcher to Spain to study the disease. When guinea pigs were returned to the United States, American newspapers covered the story.

A DNA sample was extracted from a few teeth and suggested typhoid fever as the culprit. Scientists called into question the validity of the results.

The disease was also found in the teeth of three victims. Despite the findings, the underlying cause was not discovered.

As Chicago Med returns for a new season, the controversy surrounding the Vas-COM scandal is sure to keep fans busy. However, the fallout from the scandal will have major ramifications for Dr. Sharon Goodwin and the hospital administration.

Stevie and Vanessa’s case wasn’t particularly interesting

If you are a fan of Chicago Med, you may have noticed a lot of changes this season. One of the big ones was the arrival of a new character. Asjha Cooper joined the show in Season 6 as Vanessa Taylor, Maggie’s daughter.

This episode, “When You’re A Hammer, Everything’s A Nail”, featured a major plotline involving Stevie and Terri. The two of them were at odds for much of the episode. Ultimately, the situation was resolved.

The rest of the episode focused on the unmet needs of children, adults and former children. However, this case didn’t really offer anything exciting. There were plenty of other issues that were explored.

While everyone was on Sharon’s side, she was also involved in a covert mission to bring attention to fraud. She could have easily arrested Cooper and Jessa in her office. But that wouldn’t have been as dramatic.

Meanwhile, the woman with an enlarged liver was having an inconclusive diagnosis. She was showing jaundice and was in a downward spiral. She was also concerned about her husband’s refusal to give her credit card information.

When Stevie found out that Maggie was Vanessa’s mother, she tried to get her to do something behind Terri’s back. She even tried to sneak a tracking system into Terri’s antibiotics.

However, this was the last time we would see Stevie and Terri together. They will soon have legal problems and Vanessa could face some addiction.

In the next episode, we will see some of the other Med professionals. These stories will keep us talking until the winter hiatus, which will begin on January 5.
