President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the “Opening Ceremony of 2000 Village Life Center” at Beştepe Millet Congress and Culture Center. Starting his speech here by greeting his audience, Erdoğan expressed his gratitude to the muhtars who came to Ankara from all over Turkey and shared their excitement. Reminding that they recently met with 20,000 headmen in Ankara, Erdogan said, “We walked together on these roads, we got wet together in the pouring rain, in all the songs we listen to now, everything reminds me of you.” used the phrases. Pointing out that one of the first indicators of progress, development and competition in today’s world is the distance taken in education, Erdoğan emphasized that every new investment in education is a solid foundation for development and an important step towards becoming an information society. Stating that the Village Life Centers, which they opened today, are one of the strategic moves that bring tradition and the future together in education, Erdoğan said that with Village Life Centers, they not only bring a new breath to education, but also prepare children for the Turkey of tomorrow. Noting that the vocational and technical courses and cultural and artistic activities to be held in these centers will add a new dynamism to the villages, Erdoğan said, “I sincerely congratulate our Ministry of National Education for leading this project, which is a great gain for our education community, and our Ministries of Interior, Agriculture and Forestry for their support.” he said. Wishing success to the children who receive education in Village Life Centers and to the teachers who raise them to be benevolent people to the homeland, the nation and their families, Erdoğan thanked each of the teachers who carry out their duty as a motherland beyond an ordinary civil service for their efforts and sacrifices.
“We will realize the Century of Turkey together”
Wishing the Village Life Centers to be beneficial to Turkey, the nation and the citizens who will benefit from this service in the villages, Erdoğan said: “Next year, we will reach the 100th anniversary of our Ministry of National Education with the 100th anniversary of our Republic. We have already started our preparations for the anniversaries. We want to turn 2023 into a prelude to a new era for our country, nation and institutions in all respects. Our Turkish Century program, which we announced to the public a short time ago, is almost to establish the framework of this goal. Now it’s time for a comprehensive meeting where our friends in the Parliament and our cabinet will also take part. Together with our 81 provinces, it has come to build the Turkish Century step by step, brick by brick. The architect, the author, and the owner of our dream of the Turkish Century are all 85 million. This program will be the work of all of our country, of all individuals of our nation, men and women, young and old. Just as we resurrected a nation seen as the ‘sick man’ of A, how we brought the National Struggle to victory despite all the deprivations and impossibilities, how we overcame the obstacles in unity and solidarity, how we overcame all kinds of hardships, from coups to terrorist attacks. Just as we have made Turkey the shining star of its region and the world in the last 20 years, I hope we will together bring to life the Century of Turkey, which will be the herald of a new era in the history of our nation and humanity.”
“We will walk with determination towards our goals”
Emphasizing that they will not give credit to the self-confident poor people who instill hope in newspaper columns, television screens or social media channels and constantly say “you can’t” to people, Erdoğan said, “As the descendants of an ancestor who tore apart countless shrouds cut for him throughout history, we will walk with determination towards our goals.” said. Expressing that they expect the strong support of the headmen and teachers for the vision of the Century of Turkey, which is the most important bridge built from the first century of the Republic to the new century, Erdoğan underlined that no struggle can achieve victory without the support of teachers who train young people, who are the guarantee of the future. Stating that no project will be successful if the muhtars, who form the base of the democracy pyramid, don’t take care of it, Erdoğan said, “May my Lord be pleased with each of you, and I thank you in advance for your contributions to the construction of the Century of Turkey.” he said. Stating that there is 20 years of democracy and development reform behind their talk of the Century of Turkey rather than crises anymore, Erdoğan said that Turkey reached where it is today not by the grace of some people, but after a difficult journey full of many sneaky tricks and painful traps.
“It wasn’t served to us on a gold platter”
“None of our achievements have been presented to us on a gold platter.” Erdogan said, emphasizing that whatever success they have achieved for the nation and the country, they struggled, sweated and paid the price for all of them. Stating that this is how he came to a country where rights and freedoms are protected in every field from a Turkey where prohibitions from university to business life prevail, Erdogan said: “When we took on the responsibility of governing the country 20 years ago, we promised to build Turkey on 4 main pillars, and we took the first place. We also received training. We put health after it, then we said justice and safety. We realized all these 4 pillars. Then we said transportation, energy, agriculture, diplomacy, and we implemented all of them one by one. Like every promise we made to our nation in the intervening 20 years, Thankfully, we have implemented them as well.”
“We gave the biggest share of all the budgets we prepared to education and training”

Erdoğan explained that he found the studies carried out on subjects such as transferring national and spiritual values to students, establishing healthy relationships within the family, home management and guiding students were very valuable. Underlining that the participation of more than 400 thousand citizens in the Family School Project since March has shown that the nation has embraced the issue, Erdoğan said, “Hopefully, we will continue to protect the family institution through legislative arrangements and such projects.” said.
“We care about the point we have reached in education, but we do not find it sufficient”

We are constantly struggling to add new ones to our current achievements.” said. President Erdoğan stated that they are trying to keep up with the new situation and conditions, taking into account the course of the world. Stating that they have taken and will take all necessary steps in line with Turkey’s needs and the demands of the nation, Erdoğan continued his words as follows: “The Village Life Centers, which we have inaugurated today, are a product of our will to combine the past and the future. We will never let those scenes of shame, which we heard from our elders, pierce our people’s hearts like a dagger, to be re-lived. The old examples that humiliate the village culture and aim to redeem the villagers with cruelty and tyranny are now just bitter memories. “We are preparing our villages, which represent the purest state of Anatolian wisdom, for tomorrow with today’s means and tools. We aim to increase the competitiveness of our villages by bringing information and technological developments to our villages and providing the education they need.” President Erdoğan said that they turned the unused village school buildings into kindergartens, primary schools and public education centers and turned them into active education units. Informing that the income from this production will be used for the needs of these centers, Erdoğan said: “We want to adopt the philosophy of lifelong learning to our people by ensuring that children, youth and adults receive education in the same place at the same time in our Village Life Centers. We aim to implement these centers in all our villages by the end of the year. As our headmen, you also have important responsibilities in this process.
