IS Investment, the leading brokerage house of capital markets, continues to cooperate with universities throughout Turkey within the scope of the TradeMaster Campus project. The TradeMaster finance laboratory, which was opened on December 14 at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at the Dokuzçeşmeler Campus of 9 Eylül University, aims to transform the theoretical knowledge of the students into practice. The opening took place with the participation of IS Investment İzmir Branch Manager Ercan Okuyucu, 9 Eylül University Rector Nükhet Hotar and academicians. Hotar said, “It is among our priorities that our students can reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practice. With this understanding, our laboratory, which we have implemented as a stakeholder in the TradeMaster Campus project, will provide our students with the opportunity to understand the financial markets through the programs,” he said, adding that the laboratory will work in parallel with the lessons. Consisting of three departments and forty computers, 9 Eylül Finance Laboratory is one of the 37 electronic application centers operating in universities across Turkey as part of the TradeMaster Campus project. Providing expert support to students in interpreting local and global dynamics, TradeMaster electronic application centers also help university academics to evaluate market data. What is TradeMaster on Campus? At TradeMaster Campus; It is a social responsibility project initiated by IS Investment in 2013 to increase financial awareness. In this context, IS Investment cooperates with universities and establishes electronic application centers within the university where students can perform virtual investment transactions with real-time data in order to combine theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students in these centers; In parallel with the Applied Portfolio Management courses, he has the opportunity to apply his theoretical knowledge about investment instruments such as BIST 100 shares in domestic markets, certain contracts in VIOP, warrant transactions, Euro, USD, benchmark bonds and gold, on TradeMaster, the online trading platform of IS Investment. They can perform virtual transactions with real-time data. The center, where IS Investment experts share their market knowledge and experience with students and bring daily practices to the classroom, is used as a full-fledged finance laboratory. Young financiers, who have the opportunity to follow the markets and trade with real data, can test their knowledge and experience with the intra-university and inter-university TradeMaster Investment League competitions.
