I hope it will be over 8 thousand liras

BBP Chairman Destici met with business world names and members of the press at the Information, Consultation and Solidarity Meeting held in a hotel in Ankara. In his speech after the presentation, Destici drew attention to the fact that Turkey’s fight against terrorism should be considered as a separate topic. Stating that there is no price to compare the martyrs with, Destici said that at least 1 trillion dollars, which is expressed as the cost of terrorism to Turkey in 40 years, is one of the main reasons for the problems experienced today. Mustafa Destici, emphasizing that Turkey has been going through crises that shook the social life, politics and economy in a few years one after the other, said that these have caused significant harm to every member of the nation, and that the fingerprints of international power centers have been found in all of them. Destici said that according to the Maastricht criteria, the ratio of the budget deficit defined by the European Union (EU) to the gross national product can be at most 3 percent, and reminded that while most of the EU countries have fallen far from the criteria they have set, Turkey is in a very good situation. Destici stated that the 21st century will be Turkey’s century, adding that Turkey, whose influence is increasing day by day, will become a global power in the future. Noting that the Turkish economy is the 4th largest economy in Europe after Germany, England and France, according to purchasing power parity, Destici pointed out that the Turkish economy has a great potential. Pointing out that the Turkish economy is one of the few economies in the world in terms of growth performance, Destici said, “Turkey is the country with the highest economic growth among EU countries.” Reminding that the unemployment rate in Turkey is around 10 percent, Destici emphasized that a very urgent solution should be produced especially for the high rate of young unemployed. Destici stated that especially encouraging fixed capital investments, paving the way for domestic and foreign enterprises, and giving very special regulations and incentives for labor-intensive sectors would be beneficial in solving the issue in this area.
“Our UAVs and SİHAs do not make birds fly in the sky without our permission”
Pointing out that Turkey’s exports break records every year, Destici stated that the import figures do not increase to the same extent and said, “When we exclude energy and gold imports, our exports almost meet our imports. But ultimately we have no chance to give up on these two items. Naturally, it is the most important item among the import items. “The important share is intermediate products. Therefore, a strategy that will reduce the import of intermediate products should be implemented urgently,” he said. Stating that as a result of the recent economic developments, many sectors, especially the opposition, have been making catastrophes, Destici said, “However, when we look at the figures, graphs and tables, we see that the situation is not as they say. Yes, there is a negative change compared to a few years ago. But in the last If you look at the average of the 15 years, it will be seen that the economic performance in many years that was considered good in the past was much worse than it is today. Emphasizing that Turkey will be much stronger as long as it is managed with independent, realistic and grounded policies without being influenced by others while making its decisions, Destici said, “Here are the moves we have made in the defense industry. Just a few days ago, we flew the first unmanned warplane, Kızılelma. “Our UAVs and SİHAs do not fly birds in the sky without our permission. They even follow the ant on the ground. Together with our heroic and victorious navy, our İDA and SİDAs, which are not found in any other country, provide the security of our seas.”
“I hope that the minimum wage will be above 8 thousand liras”
Noting that his party has proposed a 50 percent increase in the minimum wage with the welfare share, Destici said, “I know that the business world is approaching these figures in the last meeting. I hope that tomorrow, with a 50 percent increase, the figure will be above 8 thousand liras.” Stating that the minimum wage was tried to be determined like the “minimum household subsistence figure”, Destici stated that the minimum wage was the equivalent of the labor of the working worker and suggested that a commission similar to the Minimum Wage Determination Commission should be established to determine the “minimum household subsistence figure”.
“The state should comfort our employer brothers”
In his speech, where he also touched on the issue of those who are stuck at retirement age (EYT), Destici said that “the rule was changed during the match and their rights should be delivered to the right holders”. Stating that this right will be handed over to the People’s Alliance, Destici said, “Here, employers are concerned about severance pay, ‘How will we pay their compensation when so many people retire at once?’ Here, too, the state intervened, especially through state banks, and Our brothers and sisters should be relieved so that both workers and employers should be satisfied,” he said.
“We will continue to fight together”
On the other hand, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a message to Destici due to the meeting. According to the message read at the meeting, Erdoğan wished the Information, Consultation and Solidarity Meeting to be beneficial and said: “First of all, I commemorate the founder of the Great Unity Party, a man of cause and action, martyr Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu with mercy and condolences. I would like to express my gratitude to each of the members of the Unity Party for their support for the struggle for survival we have been waging for a while as a country and nation. I believe that we will walk shoulder to shoulder with the Great Unity Party, a valuable member of the People’s Alliance, in our preparations for the Century of Turkey. We will experience one of the most important elections in our country’s recent history. We will continue to fight together with the Great Unity Party for the strongest manifestation of the national will in 2023. I wish our Lord to keep our unity, solidarity and brotherhood forever. With these feelings, I wish your meeting to be successful once again, in the presence of Mr. Mustafa Destici. give my greetings and respect I am.” At the meeting, World Bank Senior Economist Sibel Kulaksız, who came from the USA, made a presentation about the world and Turkish economy.
