The minimum wage rose to 8 thousand 506 liras, an increase of nearly 100 percent compared to the previous year. It remains unclear what the salaries of white-collar workers and executives will be. For white-collar workers, an increase of 60-65 percent is expected in their salaries in 2023. Noting that the gap between the floor and the ceiling has closed, experts think that critical issues such as EYT will shape the wage strategy next year. It is a matter of curiosity how the new minimum wage will affect the salaries of white collar workers this year. The increase in the minimum wage is not reflected to other levels at the same rate. Record in the automotive industry
According to Mercer 2023 Wages and Benefits Survey, the highest wage increase is expected to be in the automotive sector with 70.5 percent. There are logistics and financial services sectors. In almost all of these sectors, raise rates are expected to be over 65 percent. Transition to salary with foreign currency
The number of companies that pay salaries to candidates in critical positions such as IT, technology, management, company valuation, crypto, fintech is increasing. Those who do not provide foreign exchange index their salaries to Euro or dollar exchange rates.
New salaries started to be announced in banks
On the other hand, while employees are waiting for the increase rates to be reflected in their January salaries, new salaries have been announced in some banks. İşbank management made an average increase of 51.28 percent to its employees for 2023. In addition, the 2000 TL Maxi Points given to the employees were increased to 3285 TL per month. Thus, the rate of increase reached 67 percent. While the bank increased the meal fee to 128 liras per day, it increased the salary of its lowest employee to 18 thousand liras with side payments.
