Emirali Tekstil strengthens logistics and P&D with green building

ALİ ŞAHİN-BURSA Emirali Tekstil, which operates in Bursa with one hundred percent export capacity and is the supplier of many important brands, has started construction works to establish a new logistics center next to its factory. Emirali Tekstil, which currently employs 526 people, will increase the capacity of the P&D department as well as logistics with the completion of the 13 thousand square meter facility.

We established the department 5 years ago

Ali Erge, Chairman of the Executive Board of Emirali Tekstil, who stated that they have started the works to obtain the ‘Green Building’ certificate for the new facility, said, “Our agreements in our workflow are very different. Our commercial agreements contain sustainability clauses related to the ecosystem. Now, many companies in Europe are already demanding this. We established a social compliance and sustainability department 5 years ago. There are 3 engineers here. We protect employee rights in the social compliance section. In the nature part, we produce solutions to reduce our carbon footprint. We are working with 2 engineers to reduce the impact of the companies that we supply materials and services to the nature. In other words, we are responsible not only for ourselves, but also for all companies in the ecosystem in which we do business.”

We applied for Leed certification

Emphasizing that the second quality ratio should also be zero in the work they do, Erge said, “There are now areas in the stores for recycling as well. Conversion technology has also improved a lot. As we do not produce faulty products, we also make reusable clothes brought by citizens for recycling. We are currently working on renewable energy, but the land costs in our region have led to alternative areas. There are also legal obstacles in some areas we found. We will use the roof of our new building for this purpose. We have started work to get Leed certificate. We are progressing in that part as well,” he said.

120 employment target in product development

Ali Erge, Chairman of the Board of Directors, who also gave information about the company, said, “We are the second largest exporting company in the sector in Bursa. We can produce 45 samples every day. We have an export capacity of 7 million units. We can reach 110 percent capacity during the seasons. We also work to serve new companies with new brands. We work on order and our delivery time is 28 days. The whole process takes place in these 28 days. One of the most important things for us is product development. Therefore, our new facility will also have a product development floor. We are planning to create 120 jobs only in the P&D department. We will not build a manufacturing area there. Now the customer does not want fabric or model from you. The customer wants the product. That’s why we have to keep the design part strong.”
