SENIOR RESEARCHER WITH EXTENSIVE HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE JOINS KNOWLEDGE NETWORKS

May 7, 2008; Menlo Park, CA: As part of its ongoing commitment to providing the best research talent to its clients, Knowledge Networks (KN) is excited to welcome Katherine Anne Binns as Senior Vice President, Client Service, based in the company's New York office. KN will draw particularly on her exceptional experience in strategic research for the company's rapidly growing list of clients.

"Katherine possesses the expertise and mindset to recognize, describe, and, where necessary, challenge a client's core business issues, a capability that all our clients have come to expect from us," said Simon Kooyman, CEO of Knowledge Networks. "She is an accomplished leader with a consultative approach, and she is focused on both quality of data and translation of insights into real-world actions – two areas in which KN excels. I am thrilled to see her join the dynamic team of senior research talent that Audrey Rosen and Justin Edge have built around them."

In her new position, Binns will focus on giving clients a deeper understanding of the consumer from a variety of perspectives, including connections among brands, media, and consumer attitudes and actions. Her work will include:

  • strategic solutions in the development of new product and service offerings
  • deepening client understanding of their most important and profitable target consumers and customers
  • helping companies anticipate and profit from emerging consumer and societal trends

Before joining Knowledge Networks, Binns was Division President of Harris Interactive's Healthcare Practice. As leader of the Harris Interactive/Wall Street Journal Healthcare Poll, Binns also was a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Earlier at Harris Interactive, Binns was responsible for public policy and education research.

Binns received an M.B.A. from Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University, and she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the San Francisco Art Institute.
