KNOWLEDGE NETWORKS SENIOR CLIENT SERVICE POSITION AT WALMART - Bentonville, AK

Walmart is one of Knowledge Network's largest and fastest growing clients. They have asked us if we can place a great person to work with them at their headquarters. The need is for someone who can get to intimately know their business and information needs and translate those needs into research designs and solutions for their high impact problems that KN would implement for them. This individual will also lead, with extraordinary quality and service, the translation of marketing information results into high impact business and marketing activity recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in Walmart's internal meetings to define the business issues
  • Translate Walmart's business issues into the appropriate research design
  • Prepare proposals to address those issues, including the study, QNR, sample design (consulting with internal experts in the Analytical Consulting, Statistics and Ops groups, as appropriate)
  • Analyze the research results for actionable insights and recommendations, writing the headlines and story and weaving the story supporting the recommendations
  • Present those insights and recommendations to the client
  • Open new doors for KN with the many other potential clients who are located in the Bentonville market
  • Coach and develop team members who would work on the Walmart support team

Skills, Competencies, and Track record required:

  • Strong custom research and design knowledge
  • Experience and comfort discussing advanced analytic applications (though not running analytic models personally)
  • Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and professionally with clients, verbally and in writing, in both business and project discussion and presentations
  • Successful track record growing client relationships
    Proven project and account management expertise, including the business acumen to translate high impact business issues to research answers
  • Ability to solve client issues and anticipate bottlenecks in advance

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS in Market Research, Psychology, Sociology or related fields. MA preferred but not essential
  • 8-10 years related experience. Supplier experience a must, with additional client side experience a plus.
